Play dough

Ingredients:

2 cups of Cake Wheat Flour
½ cup of Fine Salt
30 ml of Cream of Tartar
30 ml of Oil
1and ½ cups of Boiling Water
Few drops of Food Colouring (Optional)

Method:

In a bowl mix the flour, salt, cream of tartar and oil with a fork, don’t worry about the oil clumps. In another bowl mix the boiling water and food colouring, now add it to the flour mixture and mix with a spoon until a firm dough is formed. Let it stand for a few minutes to cool down.

As soon as the dough has cooled, knead it on a flat surface until you have a smooth texture and until the dough is not sticky anymore. If it is still sticky, you can add a little bit of flour.

Store in an airtight container so that the play dough does not dry out.

I found that the play dough does become a little dry on the outside when the kids play with it. Just add all the dough together and knead a little and it will feel as good as new.

The recipe I used to make this dough states that it will stay good for 6 months.
