Fairy Lily Sweater – Knitting Pattern

Category:

Description

The Fairy Lily Sweater is a top down design starting with a round yoke with beautiful lace work and ending with a few raglan increases. This design is seamless and stitches will be put on hold for the sleeves with the only picked up stitches to be the ones underneath the arms.

There are two sleeve options in this pattern – a long sleeve and a three quarter sleeve. The long sleeve option also has the lace detail just before the cuff as the body of the sweater.

The pattern includes video tutorials on YouTube to help you with all the techniques used in this sweater!

Supplies:
3 ( 3 ; 4 ; 4 ; 5 ) 100g hanks of Sock Wool 75% Superwash Merino & 25% Nylon –
100g has 366 meters ( Sample knit in Pianna Yarns colourway Victoria )
4.5mm Knitting Needles ( I used 8cm tips and a 20cm cable as well as 13cm tips and a 55cm
cable ) or size that gives the recommended stitch and round gauge
4.00 mm Knitting Needles
Lightbulb Stitch markers to mark increase points etc
Stitch markers, 1 of them must be distinctive to mark the BOR
Measuring tape, scissors and a yarn needle to weave in ends

Sizes:
Pattern is written in 5 sizes 1 ( 2 ; 3 ; 4 ; 5 )
Finished chest measurements: 97 ( 102 ; 111 ; 124 ; 138 ) cm
To decide which size to knit take your chest circumference and add your desired amount of positive ease and choose that size.
Example: chest measurement = 97 cm and you want to add 6 cm of positive ease –that gives you 103 cm so I would go for the second size that will give you 5 cm of positive ease but if you
go one size up you will have 9 cm of positive ease – which will be 3 cm more than what you wanted.

Gauge:
18 sts x 30 rounds for 10 x 10 cm after blocking in stocking stitch on 4,5mm needles in the round. Approximately 21.5 sts x 29 rounds for 10 x 10 cm before blocking. Check your gauge and keep the unblocked gauge in mind while knitting the sweater to keep the gauge the same throughout the whole project
