Description
Fairy Lily Cowl Knitting Pattern
The Fairy Lily Cowl uses the same lace patterning as the Fairy Lily Sweater but this time in garter stitch and with stripes!
This unique cowl shape causes the closed cowl to have a smaller opening at the top that at the bottom that makes it lay very nicely on the shoulders for maximum coziness.
The cowl is knit by increasing on one side only to achieve an interesting stripe pattern.
The pattern uses 50 (75) g Sockwool 75%Superwash Merino & 25% Nylon 366m per 100g in a variegated colour for the garters sections and 50 (60) g in a semisolid colour for the lace sections.
4mm Knitting needles ( I used 13cm tips and a 55cm cable)
Gauge: 19 sts x 38 rows for 10 x 10 cm after blocking in garter stitch knit flat.
Size: 2 sizes, finished circumference (around the neck) : 47 (56) cm
Its designed in 2 sizes both with garter stripes and lace sections with a moss stitch border and sewn at the back.
Video tutorials are included in the pattern.
This is a fun, easy and relaxing knit.
This is for the knitting pattern only and not the finished item
